What You Can Learn About Focus From This Trick Or Treater

Happy Halloween!

Are you going out Trick or Treatin’ or  staying home and giving out candy?

My niece stayed home and gave out candy with her dad, my brother, last night.

She told this story about one of the Trick or Treaters that came to the door….

“My dad throws a snickers bar into a trickertreaters bag.
Trickertreater replies: “I don’t like snickers..” and takes it out.
My dad says: “how bout m&ms?”
Trickertreater then says: “I like hersheys…” as he grabs one and runs away.”

HA HA!!! I love it!

What You Can Learn From This Trick or Treater

This little Trick or Treater knew what they wanted.

And they weren’t afraid to ask for it!

Do you have clarity? Do you know what you want?

Are you saying yes to too many things?

Are you saying yes to things you don’t want or even like?

Does this seem rude or spoiled? Change your mindset!!!

This little Trick or Treater didn’t demand my brother make a special trip to the store and get a Hershey’s.

He saw that a Hershey’s bar was in the bag. And he asked for it. It was that simple!

Most people don’t ask for what they want because they are afraid to ask or worse don’t know what they want!!!

So let’s recap here:

  • Ask for what you want!
  • Say no to things that don’t interest you.
  • And enjoy some chocolate!

Happy Spooky Day!

P.S. What I’m really talking about here is FOCUS. Getting focus, having focus and keeping focus.
